Social Studies in Practice: SSIP
Social Studies in Practice enables Academy students to find their passion and research their project topic. This course is designed to provide students the opportunity to learn ways in which they can become successful leaders in their school and community. They will utilize commonly studied themes in the humanities, such as, leadership, citizenship, and social skills, in a real-world setting. Students will complete the skills necessary to become a productive, 21st century learner and leader. Ultimately, students will create an IMPACT project to serve their community or school. Through this project, students will learn effective research, writing, presentation, and leadership skills.
